Iftar Dua – dua e iftar for Roza

Iftar is one of the most spiritually rewarding moments of Ramadan. It is the time when Muslims break their fast, express gratitude to Allah, and seek His blessings. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) emphasized the importance of making dua at Iftar, as it is one of the moments when prayers are readily accepted.

dua e iftar English Translation

اے اللہ! میں نے تیرے لیے روزہ رکھا، تجھ پر ایمان لایا، تجھ پر بھروسہ کیا اور تیرے دیے ہوئے رزق سے روزہ افطار کیا۔

Iftar Dua in English Translation

“O Allah! I fasted for You, I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and with Your sustenance, I break my fast.”

The Significance of Iftar & Dua

1️⃣ A Time of Acceptance – The Prophet (PBUH) said: “The supplications of three people are not rejected: the fasting person at the time of breaking fast, the just ruler, and the oppressed person.” (Tirmidhi)

2️⃣ Expression of Gratitude – Reciting the Iftar Dua reminds us that fasting is an act of worship, and breaking it with the sustenance Allah has provided is a blessing.

3️⃣ Spiritual & Physical Rejuvenation – As we nourish our bodies, we also replenish our souls by remembering Allah and seeking His mercy.

What to Do Before Breaking the Fast?

Recite the Iftar Dua with sincerity.
Make additional personal supplications (duas) for yourself, your family, and the Ummah.
Break your fast with dates and water, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH).
Thank Allah for granting you the strength to fast.

Iftar is not just about eating after a long fast—it is a sacred moment of reflection, gratitude, and connection with Allah. By reciting the Iftar Dua and making heartfelt supplications, we invite endless blessings into our lives. May Allah accept our fasts and prayers, Ameen! 🤲✨
